Three Caught Selling E-Cigarettes to Minors, Hiding Them in Food Products

As part of continuous security efforts to protect minors and ensure the health and safety of future generations, the Criminal Security Sector, represented by the General Department of Criminal Investigation, has arrested three (3) individuals involved in selling and delivering electronic cigarettes to minors among school students, hiding them inside food products through devious methods aimed at misleading parents and facilitating their delivery to children without their contents being discovered.
The arrest came after receiving information regarding the spread of electronic cigarettes among some high school students (both male and female). Investigations by the Capital Governorate Investigation Department led to identifying the location of a grocery store used to receive, prepare, and package orders in ways that conceal their true contents.
After obtaining legal authorization, one of the suspects was caught red-handed while delivering an order. The order preparation site was then raided, and the remaining suspects were arrested in cooperation with judicial enforcement officers from the Kuwait Municipality, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, and the Public Authority for Food and Nutrition.
The suspects confessed to their involvement in the activity. Two of them managed the grocery store, prepared orders, and hid the electronic cigarettes inside food products to make financial profits. The third suspect was responsible for delivering them while being fully aware of their nature. The necessary violation reports were filed by the competent authorities, and the seized items were confiscated.
