PAM may adjust midday work ban hours based on weather conditions

The Public Authority for Manpower has stated that the timing and duration of the midday work ban may be adjusted depending on climatic and environmental conditions, as part of efforts to ensure worker safety during extreme heat periods.
The authority reaffirmed that at the moment employment in open outdoor workplaces is strictly prohibited between 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. from June 1 to August 31 each year, but is subject to ‘adjustment’.
It emphasized that the regulation is designed to protect workers from heat stress and other climate-related risks during peak summer temperatures.
The statement added that compliance with the rule contributes to safeguarding occupational health and safety, concluding with the slogan: “Together for a safe working environment.”
