MOI arrests 14 suspects in 8 different drugs cases, seizes multiple narcotics
As part of ongoing intensive security efforts by the Criminal Security Sector of the Ministry of Interiornto combat drug abuse and track down drug traffickers, personnel from the Directorate-General for Drug Control have arrested 14 suspects in eight separate cases.
The suspects were found in possession of various quantities of narcotic substances and psychotropic substances, in addition to equipment used for preparing and packaging drugs.
The operations resulted in the seizure of 1 kg and 425 grams of methamphetamine (shabu), 1 kg and 15 grams of hashish, 365 grams of marijuana, and 3 grams of heroin.
Interior ministry sources said, authorities also confiscated four A4 sheets soaked with synthetic drug substances (chemicals), 80 capsules of Lyrica (pregabalin), three psychotropic tablets, six precision scales, and various drug-use paraphernalia.
All suspects and seized items have been referred to the competent authorities for legal action.
The Ministry of Interior confirmed that security operations will continue with full determination to pursue drug traffickers and protect society, stressing zero tolerance toward anyone involved in the trafficking, promotion, possession, or use of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances.
