Dr. Al-Mashaan stresses quality control and timely completion of road projects

Minister of Public Works Dr. Noura Al-Mashaan chaired a high-level meeting bringing together ministry undersecretaries, governorate directors, and project managers to assess the progress of road maintenance projects across the country and review implementation schedules, completion rates, and key operational challenges.
During the meeting, Dr Al-Mashaan stressed the ministry is committed to ongoing field supervision of all projects, emphasizing the importance of ensuring contractors adhearane to approved technical standards, quality requirements, and safety regulations. She called for immediate action to resolve any obstacles that could delay project timelines.
The minister highlighted the need to intensify technical oversight and strengthen direct monitoring at work sites through regular field inspections to ensure that implementation quality aligns with approved engineering specifications.
She reaffirmed that enhancing infrastructure and upgrading Kuwait’s road network remain among the ministry’s highest priorities due to their direct role in improving traffic safety, easing mobility, and enhancing public services for citizens and residents.
The meeting included a detailed review of maintenance works underway in all six governorates, including completed phases, ongoing projects, and upcoming implementation plans aimed at accelerating execution and improving operational efficiency.
The participants in the meeting also discussed plans for major and periodic road maintenance works, coordination between technical and administrative sectors, project performance indicators, and the most significant challenges facing field teams, along with proposed solutions to ensure smooth and timely completion of projects.
