Stabbed seven times, woman survives brutal attack by Egyptian ex-husband in St. Petersburg
. . . lost two liters of blood, fighting for life

A woman in Saint Petersburg survived a brutal knife attack after allegedly being stabbed seven times by her Egyptian ex-husband in an incident that Russian media described as miraculous due to the severity of her injuries.
According to the victim’s account reported by RT, she had separated from her former husband around two months ago. The man later contacted her and persuaded her to return to the apartment where they had previously lived together.
Once inside the apartment, the woman said her ex-husband suddenly attacked her with a knife. She sustained multiple stab wounds to her abdomen, leg and hand while trying to shield her face from the assault.
Doctors said the victim lost nearly two liters of blood during the attack and is currently undergoing intensive treatment to restore movement and sensation in her damaged limbs. Reports indicated that she has lost feeling in her right leg and is currently unable to walk, according to RT and regional Russian media reports.
According to investigators, the suspect allegedly locked the apartment from the outside after the assault and fled the scene, taking the keys and communication devices with him.
Despite her critical condition, the woman reportedly managed to crawl toward the balcony, open a window and scream for help before losing consciousness.
Passersby heard her cries and alerted emergency services. Paramedics rushed her to hospital, where she underwent several surgeries.
Russian authorities later arrested the suspect, who remains under investigation as police continue inquiries into the attempted murder case.
The incident has sparked renewed discussion in Russian media and on social media platforms regarding domestic violence and the dangers faced by women following separation or divorce.
