Suspect Arrested in Armed Robbery of Money Exchange Branch in Kuwait
Masked robber steals 21,000 Kuwaiti dinars from Shaab exchange branch before being tracked down and arrested by police.

The Criminal Security Sector, represented by the General Department of Criminal Investigations, has arrested a suspect involved in an armed robbery targeting a branch of a money exchange company in the Shaab area. The arrest followed intensive investigations and search operations that led to the identification and apprehension of the suspect.
According to authorities, the incident began when the Operations Room received a report that a branch of an exchange company in Shaab had been robbed by an unidentified individual. Security personnel immediately responded to the scene and initiated the necessary procedures.
Employees reported that the suspect entered the branch wearing a mask and carrying what was later determined to be a fake weapon. He also carried a bag containing a substance resembling gasoline. The suspect allegedly threatened staff members and assaulted several employees before entering the staff-only area and stealing approximately 21,000 Kuwaiti dinars in various currencies. He then fled the scene.

Investigation teams launched an extensive search operation using modern technical and forensic methods. Following intensive tracking and surveillance efforts, authorities identified the suspect and arrested him within a short period.
The Ministry of Interior stated that the suspect is of Philippine nationality and emphasized that the successful arrest demonstrates the readiness, efficiency, and rapid response capabilities of the security services in handling criminal cases.
The ministry further warned that it remains vigilant against anyone who attempts to commit crimes that threaten public safety and security, stressing that legal action will be taken against all offenders in accordance with the law.
