CID men shut down three illegal slaughterhouses in Kabd, detain 10 Asians

The Ministry of Interior, raided ‘illegal’ slaughterhouses in the Kabd livestock pens area. CID men from Jahra Investigation Department, during a raid on three livestock pens have 10 expatriates (Indians and Bangladeshis) for carrying out large-scale slaughtering activities inside the pens, which were not approved for such operations under Kuwaiti law.
According to the ministry, the targeted sites were being operated as unlicensed slaughterhouses by expatriate workers, despite being officially registered for other livestock-related purposes.

Investigations confirmed that the facilities were being misused, prompting authorities to obtain legal warrants before carrying out the raids.
All detainees have been referred to the relevant authorities for further investigation and legal procedures in accordance with applicable laws.
The crackdown in Kabd reflects an ongoing effort by security agencies to monitor unlicensed operations and eliminate practices that bypass official health and safety regulations.
