MoJ raises employee attendance to 50% in selected departments starting Sunday

The Ministry of Justice has announced an increase in employee attendance to 50 percent in some departments, effective next Sunday, in line with public interest requirements and operational needs.
In a press statement issued on Wednesday, the ministry said the Civil Service Bureau had approved its request to raise the percentage of employees present in a number of organizational units from 30 percent to 50 percent.
The ministry clarified that the decision regulates attendance so that it does not exceed 50 percent of the total workforce in the affected units, reports Al-Rai daily.
It added that a rotational system will be implemented between employees in two groups, whereby one working day is followed by a rest day.
The rotation mechanism will be determined daily by department officials to ensure work continuity and efficiency.
The decision marks a revision of the previous arrangement introduced earlier this year, when the Civil Service Bureau issued a circular on March 1 limiting employee attendance in government entities to no more than 30 percent, effective from the following day until further notice.
That measure was based on a Civil Service Council decision linked to prevailing regional circumstances.
The Ministry of Justice emphasized that the updated attendance framework is designed to balance operational continuity with workforce management requirements, while maintaining efficiency across its various departments.
