Minister Al-Fulaij affirms ongoing coordination to monitor potential environmental impacts

Minister of State for Development and Sustainability Dr. Reem Al-Fulaij affirmed on Wednesday the continuation of coordination meetings among relevant government entities to enhance preparedness and monitor any potential environmental impacts amid current regional developments.
Speaking in the fourth coordination meeting at the Environment Public Authority (EPA), Al-Fulaij said that efforts focus on strengthening environmental monitoring, assessing developments, and updating response plans.
She stressed that joint action among entities boosts response efficiency, supports preventive measures, and ensures protection of the environment and public safety.
On her part, Acting EPA Director General Nouf Behbehani said the meetings help unify efforts, enhance emergency readiness, and support data-driven decisions through coordinated monitoring and early warning systems, with participation from several national entities.
