Ministry of Commerce issues 36 citations in Farwaniya, Ahmadi

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry reported that on Friday, emergency inspection teams in the Farwaniya and Ahmadi governorates carried out field visits to numerous commercial shops, resulting in the issuance of 36 violation reports.

In a statement to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), the Ministry said the inspections uncovered several violations, the most significant being non-compliance with government-mandated food price controls.

Some shops were selling items above the fixed prices or not displaying prices at all. Additional breaches included irregularities in promotional offers, failure to issue invoices, and not indicating the country of origin of products.

Additionally, violation notices were issued to establishments whose actual business activities did not align with their licensed operations, and the Ministry confirmed that legal action has been taken against all offenders.
Officials emphasized that inspection campaigns will continue to ensure strict enforcement of market regulations and price controls, aiming to protect consumer rights and maintain fair trading practices.
