Kuwait Sets Eid Al-Fitr Holiday Starting Thursday, March 19

The Kuwait Cabinet has announced the official public holiday schedule for Eid al-Fitr, with dates depending on the length of the holy month of Ramadan, reports Kuna.

According to the announcement, if Ramadan completes 30 days, the holiday will run from Thursday, March 19, through Monday, March 23, with government offices and public institutions resuming work on Tuesday, March 24.

However, if Ramadan lasts 29 days, the holiday will instead run from Thursday, March 19, through Sunday, March 22, and work will resume on Monday, March 23.

The final holiday duration will be confirmed based on the official sighting of the moon marking the end of Ramadan and the beginning of Eid Al-Fitr.
