Just shocking: Policeman arrested with drugs; sister held captive for 10 months rescued

Security authorities in Kuwait have arrested a policeman working for the Ministry of Interior after he was found in possession of psychotropic substances during a security operation in the Al-Oyoun area.
According to a statement issued by the Directorate-General for Drug Control, the suspect was apprehended with a quantity of chemical psychotropic substances, along with sums of money and other materials believed to be linked to drug trafficking and personal use.
During a subsequent search of the suspect’s residence, officers reportedly heard cries for help coming from one of the rooms inside the house, reports Al-Rai daily.
Upon opening the locked room, authorities discovered the suspect’s sister, who had allegedly been held captive there for approximately 10 months.
Investigators said the room’s window had been completely sealed with building materials, including bricks, preventing it from being opened.
The setup appeared designed to prevent the woman from escaping, effectively turning the room into a makeshift prison.
Following the discovery, the suspect and his brothers who were present at the residence were detained and referred to the competent authorities for further legal action.
The Ministry of Interior stressed that enforcing the law and maintaining public security are solely the responsibility of the state, warning that no individual will be allowed to take matters into their own hands or violate the rights of others.
The ministry reaffirmed that Kuwait is a state governed by law and institutions, where legal provisions apply equally to everyone without exception, and that anyone found violating the law will face firm and deterrent legal consequences.
