Turkish Airlines announced on Friday evening that reports circulating about the cancellation of its flights to Iran are “incorrect,” according to Al Arabiya Al Hadath satellite channel.
The airline clarified that its daytime flights to Iran are continuing to operate as scheduled, denying claims of a full suspension of services.
Earlier media reports had indicated that Istanbul Airport cancelled flights to and from Tehran on Friday evening. At the same time, reports suggested that Iranian and Turkish carriers had cancelled several evening flights on Friday and scheduled services for Saturday between Istanbul and Tehran.
The clarification comes amid heightened regional tensions that have led to increased scrutiny of air travel operations and flight schedules across the region.
