Meteorologist Issa Ramadan warned on Monday of a return to colder nighttime weather, noting that the seasonal cold period locally known as “the old woman’s cold” is expected to begin on February 26.
In remarks posted on his X platform account, Ramadan explained that this cold spell will continue until March 4, coinciding with what is traditionally referred to as “the days of the fool who sold his cloak,” a period known for sudden temperature drops despite the approach of spring.
He added that nights will become relatively cold again, advising the public to wear light winter clothing, reports, reports Al-Qabas daily.
Ramadan also indicated that Tuesday’s weather will be warm during the day, accompanied by light to moderate humid southeasterly winds that may reduce horizontal visibility and lead to fog formation until nighttime.
This will be followed by cold northwesterly winds expected to stir up dust.
