Vatican Secretary of State tours Grand Mosque in landmark visit

Vatican Secretary of State, Cardinal Pietro Parolin, visited the Grand Mosque of the State today as part of his official visit to Kuwait.

He was accompanied by Assistant Foreign Minister for European Affairs Ambassador Sadiq Marafi, along with members of the official delegation.

During the visit, the delegation was briefed on the mosque’s architectural features, facilities and sections, as well as the various stages of its construction and restoration.

The tour highlighted the mosque’s cultural, religious and historical significance as one of Kuwait’s most prominent landmarks.

The visit reflects the importance of interfaith dialogue and cultural exchange, and underscores the depth of relations between Kuwait and the Vatican.
