United Indian School hosts kindergarten annual day ‘The Twinkling Stars’

Under the glistening sun and the pleasant evening breeze, the grounds and portals of United Indian School welcomed one and all for the KG Annual Day Celebrations “The Twinkling Stars” held on Thursday, 1st February 2024 at 6 pm with open arms and joyous hearts.

Ms. Geethika Ahuja, Principal of Aspire International School was the chief guest for the evening. The other dignitaries were Mr. Joel Jacob, Executive Administrative Officer, Mr. Radhakrishnan C, Senior Principal, United Indian School, Mrs. Mary Litty, Vice Principal, Mrs. Anitha Somraj, Kindergarten HOD, Mr. John Thomas, Purchase & Maintenance Manager, Mr. Saji John, Finance Manager were accompanied by the School Program Coordinator, Mrs. Reshmi Elizabeth and KG Coordinators Mrs. Ermilinda Lawrence and Mrs. Veena Anish.

The smart comperes of the event were Mrs. Mithu Cherian and Mrs. Habiba Fathima Mohsina. The UIS Music Department and IT Department gave unwavering support and guidance throughout the preparation and smooth execution of this event.

The Annual Day celebration commenced with great excitement and enthusiasm. The entire school community including students, parents, teachers and distinguished guests, gathered in the school auditorium, which was beautifully adorned with colourful decorations that set a festive mood.

The event began with a thumping and resounding welcome to the beats of our UIS KG Band. The annual day celebration commenced with a recitation from the Holy Quran followed by the lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries and the Kuwait National Anthem. The cultural extravaganza that followed was a testament to the incredible talent and creativity within our school. The event included a variety of music, dance, skits and ramp walks. The performances opened with the Welcome song conducted by the KG choir. The cultural extravaganza followed with KG Music Band, Western Welcome Dance, Inner Harmony – The Yoga Story, Nature’s Ballet Dance, Sizzling Fusion Dance, Propel Symphonies, Neon Dreams Dance, Indian State Kaleidoscope –‘Mile sur mera tumhara’ and Mesmeric Fashion Fiesta.

The Guest of Honour praised the show and credited it to the relentless and dedicated efforts of the management, principal, HOD and teachers.

She congratulated all the participants for their outstanding performance and urged them to aspire for excellence in their future endeavors. Finally, our Sr. Principal spoke about the students who had been preparing diligently for months under the guidance of our talented HOD, teachers and their hard work paid off spectacularly.

Each performance captivated the audience, showcasing the students’ skills, confidence and dedication. The success of the Annual Day celebration would not have been possible without the relentless efforts of our HOD and teachers.

Their meticulous planning, attention to detail and countless hours of hard work ensured the smooth execution of the event. They played a vital role in guiding and supporting the students throughout the preparation process, nurturing their talents and fostering a sense of teamwork. Our Executive Administrative Officer, Mr. Joel Jacob presented a memento to our Chief Guest.

Our distinguished parents Mrs. Lintha Mathew and Mr. Harold Mathew acknowledged the efforts taken by the school management, principal, teachers and the students for putting in hard work and making the show a great success.

The vote of thanks was proposed by the KG HOD with heartfelt gratitude to all the team members who worked behind the event to make it a grand success. The memorable day concluded with the Indian National Anthem.

In conclusion, the Annual Day celebration at United Indian School was a resounding success, leaving an indelible mark on everyone’s heart. It was a testament to the talents, dedication and collaborative spirit of our students, HOD, teachers, nonteachingstaff and support staff. The event not only provided a platform for students to showcase their abilities but also fostered a sense of community and camaraderie among all participants.
