Kuwait steps up winter tourism plans; Minister highlights need for stronger collaboration

Minister of Information and Culture and Minister of State for Youth Affairs, Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi, has underscored the importance of showcasing Kuwait’s tourism projects and strengthening coordination among relevant authorities to accelerate the country’s tourism development goals.

Chairing the meeting of the Supreme Tourism Committee, Al-Mutairi emphasized that tourism initiatives must be presented in a clear, organized, and comprehensive manner.

He stressed the need to ensure that information on upcoming events—including their locations, dates, and registration procedures—be readily accessible to citizens, residents, and visitors alike.

The minister noted that the coordination meetings serve as a platform for addressing observations raised by project owners and government agencies involved in event organization. These discussions, he said, help refine plans and enhance execution through a unified, collaborative approach.

During the meeting, members reviewed a series of proposed winter events and activities, along with the mechanisms for implementing and featuring them on the “Visit Kuwait” platform.

Al-Mutairi highlighted the importance of effective marketing to ensure these events reach the widest possible audience.
