
Minister of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy, Minister of Finance, and Acting Minister of State for Economic Affairs and Investment, Dr. Subaih Al-Mukhaizeem, held discussions on Monday with the World Bank’s Regional Director for GCC countries, Safaa Al-Kougli, to explore avenues for enhancing cooperation between Kuwait and the Bank in the coming period.
In a statement, the Ministry of Finance said the meeting focused on ensuring the continuity of strategic partnership in priority areas, particularly as the new World Bank office director assumes duties in Kuwait, reports Al-Rai daily.
Both sides also reviewed mechanisms to strengthen the Bank’s support for the economic reform agenda currently being implemented by the State of Kuwait.
The meeting was attended by the Acting Resident Representative of the World Bank office in Kuwait, Huda Yousef; Assistant Undersecretary for Technical Services Affairs at the Ministry, Saad Al-Alati; and Director of the International Economic Cooperation Department, Saad Al-Rashidi.
