The Real Estate Registration and Documentation Department at the Ministry of Justice announced on Monday that a total of 167 real estate contracts were traded from Nov 16–20, with a combined value reaching approximately KD 122.6 million.
According to the statistics published on the ministry’s website, private residential properties topped the list with 118 contracts valued at 50 million dinars, reports Al-Rai daily.
Investment properties followed with 46 contracts worth 41.4 million dinars, while commercial real estate recorded two transactions totaling 11 million dinars. One property located along the coastal strip was sold for 20 million dinars.
In terms of geographical distribution, the Capital Governorate saw the trading of 13 private properties, four investment properties, and one commercial property. Ahmadi Governorate recorded 25 private deals, 19 investment transactions, and one commercial contract.
The Hawalli Governorate witnessed the exchange of 32 private properties, four investment contracts, and one commercial deal, while Mubarak Al-Kabeer recorded 13 private and three investment transactions.
In Al-Jahra, 19 private properties were traded, while Al-Farwaniya saw the sale of 16 private and two investment properties.
