Sheikh Fahd Al-Yousef honors officer for foiling illegal entry attempt at Salmi Border

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahd Yousef Saud Al-Sabah honored Corporal Khaled Musaed Al-Dhafiri working for the General Department of Land Ports Security – Salmi Port Administration on Wednesday, in recognition of his vigilance, dedication, and integrity in carrying out his duties and upholding the law.
The ceremony was attended by Brigadier General Ali Yousef Al-Tammar, Director of the Salmi Port Administration.
The Ministry of Interior stated that the recognition followed Al-Dhafiri’s foiling of an attempt by an unidentified person to infiltrate Kuwait through the Salmi border crossing using another person’s entry permit to deceive security personnel.
Upon investigation, it was revealed that the suspect was by law in Kuwait and had been evading arrest for several years in connection with multiple cases.
The Ministry affirmed that this security achievement highlights the vigilance and professionalism of land port security officers and their vital role in safeguarding the country’s borders from infiltration.
The ministry also praised the strong sense of responsibility and high level of alertness of the security forces in performing their national duties.
