Public Authority Civil Aviation highlights women’s empowerment at ICAO meeting

Abdullah Al Rajhi, Deputy Director-General for Aviation Safety and Air Transport at the Public Authority for Civil Aviation (PACA), emphasized that Kuwait’s participation in a recent International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) General Assembly meeting demonstrates the DGCA’s commitment to empowering national female talent and increasing their representation in international forums.
Al Rajhi noted that the move aligns with Kuwait’s broader efforts to support women and highlight their active roles across various sectors, including civil aviation.
The DGCA delegation, which included Shawk Al Kout and Amira Al Azmi, attended the Global Network of Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment Officers in the Global Aviation Sector meeting.
Discussions focused on best practices for promoting gender equality, enhancing women’s roles in aviation, and addressing challenges. The meeting also reviewed lessons learned and relevant international and regional initiatives.
Al Rajhi described the participation as an opportunity to exchange experiences, strengthen Kuwait’s commitment to female representation, and advance the country’s strategic goals in civil aviation and international cooperation.
