Kuwait Municipality carried out a field campaign in the Capital Governorate to inspect health licenses for shops and advertising permits, resulting in fifteen violations, reported Al Rai newspaper.
Abdulrahman Al-Rashidi, head of the Capital Governorate inspection team, stated that the team checked advertising sites beyond property boundaries, verified the validity of all licenses, and took the necessary regulatory actions against violators.
He added that unlicensed commercial advertisements will be removed immediately, and store owners will face fines for non-compliance with Kuwait Municipality regulations.
Regarding outdoor seating in front of shops, he stated that such seating must be licensed by the municipality under specific conditions and specifications, and any seating that violates this law will be removed immediately, with the shop owner fined.
He explained that the most common violations encountered by the field team in the Capital Governorate include misuse of space in front of commercial establishments and poor maintenance of advertising boards, such as discoloration or cracks.
He urged adherence to municipal regulations and laws, emphasizing that inspection teams affiliated with the safety departments in all six governorates are closely monitoring compliance with Kuwait Municipality regulations and systems. He added that this campaign will be followed by additional field visits across all governorates.
