Kuwait to experience hot days and mild nights this weekend

The country is under the influence of a retreating Indian seasonal low-pressure system, while a weak high-pressure system from the northwest Arabian Peninsula brings relatively hot and humid air.

  • On Friday, the weather will be relatively hot and humid, particularly along the coast, with variable winds shifting southeasterly at speeds of 8 to 32 kilometers per hour. Some high clouds are expected, and maximum temperatures will range between 39 and 41 degrees Celsius.

The Meteorological Department forecasts hot daytime temperatures and moderate to warm nights across the country this weekend, reported Al Rai newspaper.

Acting Director Dharar Al-Ali said that Kuwait is currently under the influence of a retreating Indian seasonal low-pressure system, while a weak high-pressure system from the northwest Arabian Peninsula brings relatively hot and humid air.

The department has provided a detailed forecast for Kuwait’s weather over the coming days. On Thursday, variable winds will blow northwesterly lightly to moderately at speeds between 8 and 35 kilometers per hour. Maximum daytime temperatures are forecasted to range between 38 and 40 degrees Celsius, while the sea is expected to be light to moderate, with waves reaching 1 to 4 feet.

Thursday night will be hot to moderate and relatively humid in coastal areas, with variable light winds ranging from 8 to 22 kilometers per hour. Overnight temperatures are expected to fall between 22 and 24 degrees Celsius, and the sea will remain calm with waves of 1 to 2 feet.

On Friday, the weather will be relatively hot and humid, particularly along the coast, with variable winds shifting southeasterly at speeds of 8 to 32 kilometers per hour. Some high clouds are expected, and maximum temperatures will range between 39 and 41 degrees Celsius.

The sea will remain light to moderate, with waves between 1 and 4 feet. Friday night will see hot to moderate and humid conditions, with southeasterly to variable winds of 8 to 30 kilometers per hour and minimum temperatures ranging from 21 to 23 degrees Celsius.

Saturday is forecasted to be hot and humid, with variable southeasterly winds blowing lightly to moderately at 6 to 28 kilometers per hour and scattered clouds appearing. Maximum temperatures will reach 38 to 40 degrees Celsius, and the sea will be light to moderate, with waves between 1 and 3 feet.

Saturday night will continue with hot to moderate conditions, variable northwesterly winds at 8 to 28 kilometers per hour, scattered clouds, and minimum temperatures between 22 and 24 degrees Celsius. Sea conditions are expected to remain light to moderate.
