MOI reviews security and traffic readiness for new school year

Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Public Security Affairs, Major General Hamed Al-Dawas, visited the Traffic Operations Department on Wednesday to follow up on preparations for the 2025/2026 academic year.

He was received by Major General Hamad Al-Munifi, Head of the Security Directorates Sector, Brigadier Abdullah Al-Atiqi, Head of the Traffic Affairs and Operations Sector, along with several general directors and senior security officials.

During the visit, Al-Dawas was briefed on the deployment of security and traffic patrols to facilitate traffic flow around schools, ensuring the safety of students and parents, and creating a secure environment during school entry and exit times.

He stressed the importance of close coordination between different sectors of the ministry and the necessity of maintaining a strong field presence during morning and evening shifts.

He also reaffirmed the ministry’s commitment to sparing no effort in safeguarding students, teachers, and parents throughout the school year.

The Ministry of Interior urged parents and drivers to cooperate with security personnel and comply with traffic regulations to help protect students and reinforce community partnership in maintaining safety on the roads.
