‘Declare or lose all’ … Kuwait tells travelers

Kuwait Customs has introduced new declaration rules for travelers carrying cash, gold, and luxury goods to align with international standards.
Passengers entering or exiting Kuwait must declare any cash exceeding 3,000 dinars (approx. $9,700), regardless of currency, or risk confiscation or legal action.
All forms of gold (bars, coins, jewelry) and high-value personal items like watches and electronics must be declared and accompanied by proof of ownership.
Updated airport rules aim to enhance border control and ensure smooth inspections. Travelers are urged to submit customs forms before departure or upon arrival.
