Mubarak Al-Kabeer council holds first session focused on development and transparency

The Mubarak Al-Kabeer Governorate Council held its first session on Tuesday at the governorate’s general office, chaired by Governor Sheikh Sabah Al-Badr, who also serves as acting Hawalli Governor. The meeting included representatives from government agencies and three appointed citizens from the governorate.
Sheikh Sabah emphasized the Council’s role as a coordinating body to enhance development and service quality. He called on government agencies to submit regular progress reports to promote transparency and measurable outcomes, reports Al-Rai daily.
The Council reviewed its future vision, focusing on monitoring government performance, addressing the needs of residential areas, and proposing development projects to improve quality of life. It also stressed field engagement, resolving citizens’ complaints, and launching collaborative initiatives in areas such as health, education, environment, and security.
Sheikh Sabah underscored the importance of teamwork and aligning efforts with Kuwait Vision 2035 to achieve sustainable development goals. The session concluded with a call for regular reporting on council activities and committee recommendations to drive progress in Mubarak Al-Kabeer Governorate.
