Sheikh Fahd concludes official visit to Lebanon, heads for Syria

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahd Al-Yousef Al-Sabah left Lebanon today, concluding an official visit and heading to Syria as part of a regional diplomatic tour.

Sheikh Fahd and his accompanying delegation were seen off at Beirut’s Rafic Hariri International Airport by senior Lebanese officials, including Brigadier General Sami Nassif, Secretary of the Central Internal Security Council and representative of the Lebanese Minister of Interior, as well as Counselor Yassin Al-Majed, Chargé d’Affaires at the Kuwaiti Embassy in Lebanon, and embassy staff, according to news reports.

During his visit to Beirut, Sheikh Fahd held a series of high-level meetings with the Lebanese political leadership, including President Joseph Aoun, Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri, Prime Minister Nawaf Salam, and Minister of Interior and Municipalities Ahmad Hajjar.

The discussions focused on strengthening bilateral relations, particularly in the security and law enforcement sectors, with an emphasis on enhancing coordination to serve mutual interests. The two sides reaffirmed their commitment to advancing regional stability, development, and cooperation.

The visit reflects Kuwait’s ongoing efforts to deepen its diplomatic and strategic partnerships across the region.
