Kuwait to fill vacant diplomatic posts, including ambassador to Lebanon: Al-Yahya

Foreign Minister Abdullah Al-Yahya confirmed that Kuwait is in the process of appointing ambassadors and representatives to fill vacant diplomatic missions abroad, including a new ambassador to Lebanon.
Speaking to Al-Rai, he explained that after selecting candidates, the necessary approvals must be obtained from host countries before official appointments are announced.
Al-Yahya also highlighted the outcomes of his recent meeting with UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy, held as part of the second round of strategic dialogue between Kuwait and the United Kingdom.
Discussions included enhancing bilateral cooperation in security, defense, and technology, particularly in cybersecurity, and strengthening humanitarian partnerships through the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development.
He affirmed that Kuwaiti-British relations are steadily deepening, with ongoing technical committee meetings ensuring progress across shared priorities.
