Abdullah Al Salem University opens doors for admissions for Kuwaiti students

The deadline for submitting applications is July 17, until 1:00 pm

Abdullah Al Salem University has announced that it is receiving applications from Kuwaiti students for the 2025/2026 academic year, from Monday, July 7 until Thursday, July 17, 2025. The deadline is 1:00 pm.

This move aligns with the university’s efforts to prepare for the new academic year and attract academically distinguished students, in accordance with the standards outlined in its official admissions guide.
Dr. Ahmed Al-Mutawa, Acting Dean of Admissions and Registration, stated that the minimum GPA for admission is set at 80% for science majors and 85% for arts majors.

Applications must be submitted electronically via the university’s official admissions portal, accessible via the university website. Applicants are required to activate the authentication feature in the ‘My Identity’ app to create an account and complete all uploads of the necessary documents by July 15.

To assist prospective students and their families, the university will host an Admissions Fair at its Khalidiya campus (Gate 1, Building 14 Kh) from July 6 to 17, daily from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm. The fair will provide detailed information on available academic programs and address questions from applicants and parents.

Dr. Al-Mutawa emphasized that admissions are based on transparency and academic merit, with decisions determined by high school grades and performance on national English and mathematics tests, or valid international certificates such as TOEFL or IELTS.

He added that the admissions plan reflects the university’s student capacity and is aligned with Kuwait Vision 2035, ensuring that programs meet national development goals and evolving labor market needs.
