Drug deal foiled in Farwaniya chase; expat caught with hashish, crystal meth
A suspected drug deal in Farwaniya was foiled after security officers chased and arrested an Arab man found in possession of sachets of hashish and crystal methamphetamine.
This happened in the early hours Sunday when a patrol from the Farwaniya Security Directorate spotted the man standing near a building in the area. When officers approached him, the suspect suddenly fled, prompting the patrol to give chase. He was eventually caught and taken into custody.
A precautionary search reportedly led to the discovery of two sacets on his person, one containing methamphetamine, commonly known as crystal meth, and the other containing hashish.
During initial questioning, the suspect reportedly told security officers that he had been waiting to purchase the drugs from another person.
The suspect, along with the seized narcotics, was subsequently referred to the Directorate-General for Drug Control, where the necessary legal procedures are being completed.
