Thieves break into Mishref power transformer unit, escape with AC units worth 1,200 dinars

A break-in at a Ministry of Electricity and Water transformer in Mishref has triggered a criminal investigation after an unknown suspect forced open the transformer door and stole two air-conditioning condensing units valued at approximately 1,200 dinars.
According to sources, the ministry’s legal representative filed a report after an inspection found that the transformer’s lock had been broken and its door damaged. The suspect reportedly gained access to the transformer and removed the two units stored inside.
Security authorities began investigating the incident after the report was registered, focusing on how the suspect gained access to the transformer and carried out the theft. Authorities are also assessing the damage caused to the facility and the resulting losses.
