DGCA issues weather advisory as Kuwait braces for strong dust-raising winds

The Meteorology Department at the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has issued a weather advisory warning that Kuwait will experience active, dust-raising winds on Friday.

According to the statement published on the department’s official website, strong northwesterly winds are expected to exceed speeds of 50 kilometers per hour. These winds will likely stir up dust and reduce horizontal visibility, particularly in open and exposed areas, reports Al-Jarida daily.

The advisory is in effect from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and also warns that sea conditions will be rough, with waves expected to reach heights of more than six feet.
