23 people stranded off Qaruh Island ‘rescued’ by firemen

The marine rescue teams from the Al-Muhallab Fire Station affiliated to the Kuwait Fire Force responded to a maritime emergency on Saturday involving a boat carrying 23 individuals near Qaruh Island.
In a statement published on its official account on the X platform the authority said the vessel faced a technical malfunction while at sea, prompting the deployment of specialized rescue teams.
The KFF confirmed all passengers aboard the vessel were taken to the shore and given appropriate care and assistance.
The Fire Force emphasized its ongoing readiness to respond to emergencies of all types, especially in the marine environment, and urged boat owners and seafarers to regularly maintain their vessels and adhere to safety protocols to avoid such incidents.
