KU launches GPA service via ‘Sahel’ App to streamline admission process

The Kuwait University has introduced a new digital service designed to facilitate the admission process for prospective students, now available through the government’s unified electronic services platform, “Sahel.”

According to an announcement published on the official “Sahel” account on the X platform, the newly launched service enables students to electronically calculate their equivalent Grade Point Average (GPA), based on Kuwait University’s officially approved GPA conversion formulas, which are used to determine academic eligibility for admission into the university’s various colleges and programs, reports Al-Jarida daily.

The new tool is particularly beneficial for students coming from different educational systems or curricula, allowing them to easily determine how their academic performance aligns with Kuwait University’s admission requirements. The electronic calculator helps eliminate uncertainty and speeds up the evaluation process, ensuring greater transparency and convenience.

Students interested in using the new service can access it directly through the “Sahel” application, which consolidates a wide range of governmental services in one unified interface, providing efficient and user-friendly solutions to citizens and residents alike.
