Kuwait braces for scattered rain, dust until Tuesday morning

Director of the Meteorology Department, Dharar Al-Ali, announced that Kuwait is expected to experience scattered rain showers today, which may be accompanied by occasional thunderstorms.
He also warned of active winds that could stir up dust storms, reduce horizontal visibility—particularly in open areas—and lead to rough sea conditions with high waves.
In a statement to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), Al-Ali explained that the country is currently in a transitional weather phase known locally as the “Sarayat” period, which is characterized by rapid and unstable atmospheric changes. These unstable conditions are expected to persist intermittently until Tuesday morning.
Al-Ali urged citizens and residents to stay informed by regularly checking the department’s official website, mobile application, and social media channels for the latest weather updates and safety guidance.
