Road maintenance works begin in Jabriya under new plan

Dr. Noura Mohammed Al-Mashaan, Minister of Public Works, announced the commencement of roadmaintenance works in the Jabriya area under the new contracts. She emphasized the ministry’s commitment to implementing road maintenance projects across all areas, ensuring quality and adhering to international standards to develop advanced infrastructure.

In a press statement about the start of road maintenance work in Jabriya, Dr. Al-Mashaan noted that the concerned teams conducted inspections of the roads before initiating the necessary maintenance and repairs. The work will begin in the most affected areas, followed by the less affected ones, under the supervision and continuous monitoring of ministry teams.

She explained that road maintenance projects are part of the ministry’s strategic plan to enhance the road network and provide a safe, sustainable environment for citizens and residents, aligning with urban development and the growing demands of transportation.

She emphasized the ministry’s strong focus on monitoring all stages of implementation, from design to completion, while adhering to internationally recognized quality standards and technical specifications to ensure the highest levels of road performance and durability.

She added that her directives to expedite the completion of maintenance work were based on the recommendations of His Highness the Prime Minister, Sheikh Ahmed Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, reflecting the government’s commitment to maintaining and repairing the country’s infrastructure. She highlighted that infrastructure is the cornerstone of any country’s economic vision.

She emphasized the importance of coordination to resolve outstanding issues in road maintenance works and urged the implementing companies to promptly complete all tasks with the required quality and efficiency, in line with approved technical specifications and the agreed-upon timeline.

Dr. Al-Mashaan stated that road maintenance and repair are among the top priorities of the country’s political leadership. She commended the directives of His Highness the Amir, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-JaberAl-Sabah, and His Highness the Crown Prince, Sheikh Sabah Khalid Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, may God protect them, for their support of road maintenance projects, which will serve as a cornerstone for a developed infrastructure under the New Kuwait 2035 plan.
