Gulf Week highlights shared heritage and unity among GCC nations

Minister Al-Mutairi said in a statement to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) during the opening ceremony of Gulf Week on Friday that this event, held under the auspices of the Standing Committee for National Holidays and Occasions, highlights Gulf unity through art and heritage.

He noted that the participation of representatives from the embassies of GCC countries in this celebration reinforces brotherly ties and reflects a shared commitment to strengthening these strong relationships, particularly in the cultural field.

He also highlighted the participation of a distinguished folk band from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which further underscores this cohesion and demonstrates the strength of cultural relations among Gulf nations.

Minister Al-Mutairi emphasized that such events are not merely celebrations but also a message showcasing the depth of Gulf affiliation and shared aspirations for the future.

He expressed his gratitude to the Standing Committee for National Holidays and Occasions and all contributors who helped organize this event, which embodies pride in Kuwait and its Gulf identity.

The ceremony was attended by Dr. Nasser Muhaisen, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Information, Dr. Mohammed Al-Jassar, the Secretary General of the National Council for Culture, Arts, and Literature and several officials from the Ministry of Information; and a group of citizens and residents. The Al-Jafr Saudi Folk Arts Band performed distinguished lyrical pieces from Gulf heritage.
