Major milestone reached as accreditation centre opens for Khaleeji Zain 26
The process to officially accredit up to 20,000 people for the Khaleeji Zain 26 is underway, signalling another major organisational milestone reached for the prestigious sporting and cultural celebration taking place in Kuwait from December 21-January 3.
As with all major sporting events, the accreditation process is one of the key organisational facets to ensure its successful management, particularly on match days, so the centre will become a major hive of activity as the tournament draws closer.
Up to 5,000 volunteers, around 2,500 media representatives as well as service staff, security, emergency services, team delegations and match-day personnel are all among those who will be accredited to carry out their vital roles within the tournament organisation.
The Khaleeji Zain 26 will kick-off on December 21 with an official Opening Ceremony at the 60,000-seater Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium, followed by the first match between hosts, Kuwait, and Oman.
Two weeks of thrilling action will follow, with the eight national teams of the Arabian Gulf set to compete in one of the most open editions of the tournament in its 54-history. Tickets will be going on sale soon.
