Ministry urges schools to activate distance learning
Mansour Al-Dhafiri, Assistant Undersecretary for Public Education at the Ministry of Education, stressed the need to prepare a distance education system for teachers and learners to ensure smooth readiness for the academic year.
• School principals have been directed to update student data in the registration system, correctly assign students to classes, and manage curriculum distribution for teachers within the system.
Mansour Al-Dhafiri, Assistant Undersecretary for Public Education at the Ministry of Education, has urged educational areas to implement distance learning mechanisms as part of preparations for the 2024/2025 academic year and to utilize them as needed, according to Al Qabas newspaper.
He emphasized the need to prepare a distance education system for teachers and learners within the Ministry of Education schools to ensure optimal readiness for the academic year without obstacles.
The circular, a copy of which was obtained by Al-Qabasnewspaper, stated that school principals must update student data in the registration system, correctly assign students to classes, and manage curriculum distribution for teachers within the system.
He also called for the introduction of work directives for new teachers through school principals using the work directive screens in the student record system.
Additionally, he urged a review of the monitoring of the educational stage in cases where continuous teacher data is absent in the system. Supervisors of educational stages are instructed to complete internal transfer procedures and determine work centers for all external transfer cases, among other tasks.
Al Dhafiri specified that all of the above tasks should be completed before the start of the academic year so that the Information Systems Department can update the data on the Microsoft Teams program and activate distance education for schools as needed.
