Nine lose Kuwaiti citizenship over crimes and false claims
A woman’s Kuwaiti nationality was revoked under Article 13 due to a conviction for a crime against honor or trust within fifteen years of acquiring citizenship.
New decrees have been issued to revoke Kuwaiti nationality from nine individuals. The revocations are due to reasons including fraudulent acquisition of nationality, false statements, or convictions for crimes related to honor or honesty within 15 years of being granted nationality, according to Al Qabas newspaper.
Among those whose nationality has been withdrawn is a woman, based on Article 13 of the Nationality Law, which stipulates the withdrawal of nationality from a person if they are convicted of a crime against honor or trust within fifteen years of being granted Kuwaiti nationality.
