AI is the future of Kuwait’s Communications and IT sector
The representative of the Board of Directors of the Communications and Information Technology Regulatory Authority, Dr. Walid Al-Hasawi, emphasized the significant role of artificial intelligence and digital services in shaping business and daily life at both regional and global levels.
Al-Hasawi explained that this technology represents a critical transformation in human life and is the bright future of the communications and information technology sector, contributing to faster work, increased productivity, and reduced errors and risks.
This was part of a speech delivered by Al-Hasawi today, Tuesday, 17 December, at the opening of the third session of the International Forum on Artificial Intelligence and Digitization.
The forum will run for two days under the theme “Crisis Management, Innovation, and the Future of Technology,” and is being held under the patronage of the Minister of State for Communications Affairs, Omar Al-Omar, at the Radisson Blu Hotel.
Al-Hasawi emphasized the significance of this event, which coincides with the activities of the Gulf Conference on Modern Archiving and Document Management.
Moreover, Al-Hasawi noted the importance of the impact of artificial intelligence in enhancing the performance of both government and private institutions in Kuwait and the GCC countries.
In turn, the South Korean Ambassador to Kuwait, H. E. Park Chong-suk, stated that he is honored to stand before in this prestigious forum that brings together pioneers, innovators, and decision-makers to explore the transformative potential of artificial intelligence and digital transformation.
The Korean Ambassador highlighted that the forum, held under the generous patronage of the Government of the State of Kuwait, reflects our country’s commitment to developing technology, enhancing innovation, and achieving sustainable development in line with “Kuwait Vision 2035”.
The Senior Director of the Northern Gulf Region at Fortinet, Saadeh Hijazi, said that presently, we are witnessing tremendous development in modern technologies, which have become part of our personal lives. Information is constantly being transmitted and stored on the Internet. With this digital revolution, threats to information security are increasing, so cybersecurity has become an indispensable necessity and a guarantee of our stability and the stability of our systems.
