“Khaleeji Zain 26” Opening Ceremony to be breathtaking, dazzling and exciting

The Supreme Organizing Committee for the “Khaleeji Zain 26” is putting the finishing touches for a stunningly breathtaking Opening Ceremony, with the team behind the show promising an event that will make Kuwait truly proud.

The prestigious biennial football tournament will be launched at the 57,000-strong capacity Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium at, 7 PM on Saturday, December 21. The Opening Ceremony will feature music, special effects, and choreography before the first match between Kuwait and Oman.

In a partnership with world-renowned ceremony experts, Balich Wonder Studio, the Opening Ceremony is being produced in collaboration with local talent and expertise. Using cutting-edge technologies, it promises to captivate fans inside the sold-out stadium and millions more watching around the world.

The Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Information for Television Affairs and member of the Supreme Organizing Committee, Turki Al-Mutairi, stated that the Supreme Organizing Committee is closely monitoring all preparations, ensuring every detail is in place to deliver a successful Opening Ceremony that meets the best and highest international standards.

The selection of Balich Wonder Studio was made after comparing it with many specialized companies, based on their successful track record in delivering similar ceremonies for major international sporting events such as; the 2022 Qatar FIFA World Cup, the 2016 Rio Olympic Games, and the 2014 Sochi Olympic Games closing and Paralympic Games ceremonies.

Al-Mutairi mentioned that now everyone looks forward to a dazzling and exciting ceremony that will serve as the perfect introduction to the tournament, enjoyed by people across the Gulf, followed by matches full of high levels of sportsmanship.

It is noteworthy that formerly known as the Arabian Gulf Cup, the “Khaleeji Zain 26” will see hosts Kuwait joined by Oman, UAE, and Qatar in Group A. The reigning champions Iraq, Yemen, Bahrain, and Saudi Arabia will contest in Group B.
