‘Customs’ foils cigarettes smuggling attempt through Nuwaiseeb border post
Customs inspectors at the Nuwaiseeb border crossing have foiled an attempt by a Gulf citizen to smuggle 63 cartons of cigarettes, found concealed inside a bag in a vehicle, according to the General Administration of Customs.
The cigarettes were discovered during an inspection after the driver allegedly attempted to bypass customs procedures. The concealed goods were seized by inspectors. The administration said the efficiency of customs inspectors plays an important role in protecting Kuwait’s security and economy.
