  • Civil Aviation consultancy agreement extended by 12 months to February 2028

The Central Agency for Public Tenders has approved a request by the Public Authority for Civil Aviation (PACA) to increase the value of a consultancy contract covering meteorological and air navigation equipment projects at the Kuwait International Airport by 1.558 million dinars and extend its duration by 12 months.

According to the PACA’s letter No. 10041, dated September 15, 2026, the additional amount represents approximately 9.42 percent of the original contract value. The agreement, No. 2/2018/2019, covers consultancy services for managing and supervising the implementation of meteorological and navigational equipment projects at Kuwait International Airport under the MET&ATM–CNS programme.

The contract was awarded to Derrens Needsland BV–Derrens Middle East BV/Airports, in conjunction with the office of Nabhan Ibrahim Al Nabhan Engineering Consultants. The approved extension will run from March 1, 2027, to February 29, 2028, adding 12 months to the agreement. The approval was granted based on the reasons outlined in the request submitted by PACA.
