Uzbekistan’s investment, tourism exhibition witnesses great success

• The “Conference and Exhibition on Investment, Commercial, and Tourism Opportunities in Uzbekistan was held at Symphony Style Hotel Kuwait on May 13-14 and drew a substantial audience including citizens and ambassadors.

• Bakhrom Turdialiev, the Chargé d’Affaires of the Uzbekistan Embassy in Kuwait, urged all interested Kuwaiti businessmen and companies not to miss the opportunity to learn about Uzbekistan’s investment and tourism opportunities.

A number of attendees lauded the conference and exhibition showcasing investment, trade, and tourism opportunities in Uzbekistan. The event took place at Symphony Style Hotel Kuwait on May 13-14 and drew a substantial audience including citizens and ambassadors. Uzbekistan’s investment prospects for entrepreneurs of all scales, from small to large, were a highlight of the gathering.

They expressed surprise in various statements at the quality of Uzbek products, which stood out in food, industrial goods, and their tourist appeal, expressing a desire to see more of these products in Kuwaiti markets soon.

On the sidelines of the opening of the Conference and Exhibition on Investment, Commercial, and Tourism Opportunities in Uzbekistan, Bakhrom Turdialiev, the Chargé d’Affaires of the Uzbekistan Embassy in Kuwait, stated to journalists that his country welcomed 15 million tourists in the past year. However, the trade exchange between the two countries did not exceed eleven million dollars last year, and the embassy is actively working to enhance commercial and economic ties with Kuwait.

He urged all interested Kuwaiti businessmen and companies not to miss the opportunity to learn about Uzbekistan’s investment and tourism opportunities.

He highlighted that the exhibition had the participation of about ninety officials and representatives from companies, factories, and businessmen across various fields such as food and beverages, textile products, pharmaceutical products, and building materials. Additionally, the exhibition showcased investment opportunities available in sectors including entertainment and media production, manufacturing tools and measurement devices, control and testing equipment, dividers and photoconnoments, modems, copper pipes for air conditioning and food cooling systems, furniture and household items, perfumes, children’s toys, banks and financial organizations, tourism companies, human resources, real estate companies, contracting companies, and petrochemical companies.

He mentioned that the exhibition successfully introduced businessmen and attendees to investment opportunities in agricultural equipment and machinery, fruits, vegetables, dried fruits, packaging products, sweets, biscuits, natural honey, textiles, clothing, cottonseed oil, women’s clothing, and other textile products.

Also featured were medical services and pharmaceutical products, insulation materials, composite materials, building foams, asphalt, granite, decorative quartz slabs, granite and geological services, production of electrical and electronic compounds, decorative plastic panels, thermal insulation materials, and vehicle protection materials.

The exhibition also included a catalogue of products, some Uzbek products, and video presentations showcasing investment, commercial, and tourism opportunities in Uzbekistan.

During the exhibition, Abdul Fattah Marafie, a Kuwaiti businessman, received an honor, as did Ambassador Sami Al-Hamad, Assistant Foreign Minister for Economic Affairs.
