Merz hosts Zelenskyy in Berlin for high-level Ukraine consultations
Berlin pledges €11.5 billion in 2026 as Ukraine aid commitment continues

A German government spokesperson announced that Chancellor Friedrich Merz hosts Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy at the Chancellery in Berlin today (Tuesday), as part of ongoing German-Ukrainian government consultations.
Germany remains the largest European provider of military aid to Ukraine, having contributed approximately €55 billion ($64 billion) since Russia’s full-scale invasion in 2022.
Berlin has also allocated €11.5 billion in its 2026 federal budget to support Ukraine.
