US Senate again rejects bill on ending military operations in Iran

For the seventh time, the US Senate did not agree, by a vote of 49-50, on the motion to discharge from Foreign Relations Committee, S.J.Res.163, Merkley War Powers Resolution on Iran.

GOP Sens. Collins, Murkowski and Paul voted in favor, and Dem. Sen. Fetterman voted no, while Sen. Ricketts did not vote, according to the Senate’s official website.

For the first time, three GOP senators voted for ending the war in Iran. According to the website, the motion stipulates the withdrawal of US forces from hostile acts inside or against Iran without congressional approval.
