Three nabbed in major residency trafficking and forgery operation

The Ministry of Interior revealed that the accused—a Kuwaiti, an Egyptian, and a Lebanese—transferred worker residencies and registered personal vehicles to obtain numerous operating licenses.

  • The Ministry of Interior emphasized its full commitment to enforcing the law firmly and stating that the security forces will remain vigilant against anyone attempting to violate the law.

The General Department of Residence Affairs Investigations, through the Search and Investigation Department, has arrested a gang of three individuals—a Kuwaiti citizen, an Egyptian, and a Lebanese—alleged to be involved in residency trafficking, forgery, and manipulation through freight transport companies, according to Al Qabas newspaper.

The Ministry of Interior stated that investigations revealed the accused transferred the residencies of workers in the country to the company and registered their personal vehicles to obtain as many vehicle operating licenses as possible. These licenses were then submitted to the competent authorities to increase the company’s estimated need, allowing it to attract workers and issue Kuwaiti driving licenses in exchange for money to individuals who did not meet the General Traffic Department’s conditions.

The ministry added that they have been referred to the competent authority to take all necessary legal measures against them, emphasizing its full commitment to enforcing the law firmly and stating that the security forces will remain vigilant against anyone attempting to violate the law.
