The International Philharmonic Orchestra Paris (OPI Paris)

The orchestra at the Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmed Cultural Centre from October 2-3 will showcase a curated selection of classical works and film soundtracks composed by renowned French and European artists.

For the first time in Kuwait, the Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmed Cultural Centre will host the Orchestre Philharmonique International de Paris (OPI Paris), one of Frances most prestigious orchestras and the resident orchestra of UNESCO.

On October 2-3, the orchestra will present a selection of classical works and film soundtracks by notable French and European composers, including Georges Bizet, Maurice Ravel, Camille Saint-Saëns, Verdi, Tchaikovsky, and Maurice Jarre, among others.

Founded in 1997, the Orchestre Philharmonique International de Paris (OPI Paris) brings together fifty highly skilled professional musicians from twenty different nationalities.

Under the musical and artistic direction of its founder, conductor Amine Kouider, OPI Paris has achieved artistic excellence, performing some of the greatest works of symphonic music, opera, and oratorio.

The orchestra has participated in high-profile concerts, tours, and festivals across France in cities such as Marseille, Lyon, Nice, Reims, Caen, Chartres, Chantilly, Arles, Bayonne, and Guadeloupe, as well as internationally in Algeria, Tunisia, and Saudi Arabia. This event is organized in collaboration with the National Council for Culture, Arts and Literature and the French Embassy in Kuwait.
