Tasdeed platform marks 15 years, collects 11 billion dinars in non-oil revenues

Minister of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy, Finance Minister, and Acting Minister of State for Economic Affairs and Investment, Dr. Subaih Al-Mukhaizeem, highlighted the success of the electronic payment system “Tasdeed” during a celebration marking its 15th anniversary.

He emphasized that government cooperation and the activation of Tasdeed have enabled the execution of 221 million government transactions and the collection of 11 billion dinars in non-oil revenues since the platform’s launch in 2010, reports Al-Rai daily.

Dr. Al-Mukhaizeem explained that the platform has established a unified system for the Ministry of Finance, connecting 53 government entities. Since 2013, these entities have benefited from multiple electronic payment channels, replacing paper stamps with digital alternatives, improving efficiency and transparency across public services.

He described Tasdeed as one of the Ministry of Finance’s most significant digital control projects and a cornerstone of Kuwait’s transition toward a digital government. The platform also demonstrates a successful public-private partnership model, achieved through collaboration with the KNET Shared Banking Services Company.

The minister added that the digital transformation efforts contributed to Kuwait winning the Sharjah Award for Public Finance in 2024-2025, recognizing the country for distinguished institutional financial service provision across the Arab world.

Dr. Al-Mukhaizeem stressed that Tasdeed represents a strategic move toward a more secure, comprehensive, and efficient digital future, in line with Kuwait Vision 2035. He emphasized that these initiatives strengthen Kuwait’s position as a leading country in smart government services.
